*brring brring* Hello?

March 4, 2008

You’ve probably heard at one time or another that God has a plan for you. That you were meant for great things. If you believe the Bible is true then I have proof that you will do those great things. You will accomplish everything you were meant to.

Ephesians 2:10(NLT)

10For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Have you ever heard of a mediocre masterpiece? I haven’t, last I checked no one’s dissing the Mona Lisa. You are a masterpiece. You were made for great things. If you noticed at the end of verse 10 it says “we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Once Christ is in your life you begin to fulfill the great things God had planned for you light years before you exist now.

Ephesians 4 :1(NLT)

1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

Verse 1 is so clear; God says you have a calling. Steer your life down the road that leads you there.

Now God is telling us how…

Ephesians 4 :2-6(NLT)2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.

Two words for verses 2-6. Harmony baby. We should be united with each other. We shouldn’t be in it alone. We need people to stand by us to lift us up.

Ephesians 4 :7(NLT)

7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.

There he goes again saying we all have a special gift.

This next group of scripture sums it all up.

1 Corinthians 12 :22-26

22 In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. 23 And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, 24 while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. 25 This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. 26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.

Peace out playa playa,

Oh no you didn’t

I was reading Romans this morning and God started showing me some cool things, like he always does cause he’s God and all. About not condemning others and how we shouldn’t even in the slightest bit judge anyone because we’re all knuckle heads.

Romans 3:10 (NLT)

10 As the Scriptures say,

“No one is righteous—
not even one.

The Message puts it this way ” There’s nobody living right, not even one. “

Romans 1 talks about people who do terribly bad things and God letting them(We have freewill ya know). Romans 2(NLT) starts off with this…

“1 You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things.”

You may not be doing the same things but sin is sin and it always has the same outcome. Remember this. God knows everything you do, you may be able to fool everyone else -even yourself- but God knows the real you. And yet he loves you unconditionally. Real Christians should love everyone.

1 John 4:20(NLV) 20 If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?

Its time for Christians to be who we say we are and love people.

BTW this message is primarily FOR ME. I’m just writing so others benefit too and might further their walk with God.

With love,

Dallas
